Phonics Mini-Bites is a fun and easy-to-use phonics program designed to help young beginners learn letter sounds, build words, and develop early reading skills step by step.

Each unit introduces four letters and their corresponding phonetic sounds. Students then use these sounds to build four simple words, giving them plenty of opportunities to practice what they have learned through reading, writing, listening, tracing, games, and engaging activities.

Learn Four Letters at a Time

Each unit focuses on a small, manageable group of four letters and sounds. These sounds are then used to create four focus words that students practice throughout the unit.

Keeping the amount of new information small helps young learners stay focused while giving them plenty of opportunities to practice and remember what they’ve learned.

New Words & Fun Activities

The New Words pages introduce the focus letters, sounds, and vocabulary for each unit.

Children then reinforce their learning with two fun activities:

• Color by Words – Students match sight words in a picture with the corresponding color-coded words.
• Letter Maze – Children follow a letter pattern through a maze to help Panda find the treasure while practicing their target letters and sounds.

Letter Tracing & Writing

The Letter Tracing pages give children guided practice writing their new letters.

Additional activities then help students move beyond tracing and begin using their letters and words through creative reading and writing practice.

Build Strong Start-Sound Skills

The Start Sound pages help children connect letters with the sounds they hear at the beginning of words.
