Short General Knowledge Passages
QuickReads are informational text passages based on fun general knowledge topics with a focus on appropriately leveled vocabulary and grammar. These texts come in six levels, each with 25 passages designed to build reading comprehension skills and come complete with a fun fact section and comprehension questions!
Our readings cover a wide range of topics, offering plenty of interesting material to keep students engaged while improving their reading skills, and you can be confident that you will be improving students’ language skills with every reading.
Each passage includes a fun fact section where learners can discover interesting details related to the topic, sparking curiosity and making reading more enjoyable.
The comprehension questions are designed to reinforce learning and help your students practice using the new vocabulary and grammar structures from the passage. The questions are based on essential, must-know formats and are developed to enhance your students’ conversational abilities as well.
QuickReads offers six levels for English learners, from beginner to intermediate. Level 1 is designed for beginners transitioning from phonics-based reading, while Level 2 introduces slightly more challenging words. Levels 3 and 4 support basic-level students in progressing toward becoming confident readers. Levels 5 and 6 are for intermediate students, providing more natural language with complex grammar structures.
At each level, we maintain consistent grammar and vocabulary difficulty to ensure students can fully engage with the content and learn reading comprehension effectively.
