Phonics Bites is a complete and comprehensive 21-unit phonics and beginner English program. It consists of 348 pages that have everything you need to get beginners started and improving. Every unit includes phonics, speaking, listening, reading, and writing sections, as well as many educational and fun games. There are also instructions and lesson plans for both beginner and experienced teachers alike.
Students progress through the most important and common phonic sounds in a clear and logical order. Firstly, the main consonant and short vowel sounds are taught, followed by long vowels and common digraphs. Lastly, the most common irregular sounds are taught. There is no time wasted, just pure learning and fun.
The Magic Number Seven
The Magic Number Seven theory, proposed by psychologist George Miller, states that our short-term memory has a capacity of seven items. With this in mind, each of the 21 units in this resource introduces seven new words and/or letters to aid easy memorization. These letters and words are then consolidated in long-term memory through engaging activities and games that encourage rehearsal and recall.
