AGES: 3+                   ACTIVITY TIME: 5 Mins +                   PREP. TIME: – 5 mins

Mix up some fun with our simple slime recipe – just a few simple ingredients, glitter, and a touch of magic! It’s a playful and easy way to spark creativity.

Things You Need

  • Spoon
  • Container/bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • ¼ cup PVA glue(Elmers)
  • 1 tsp water
  • ⅛ tsp baking soda
  • Food coloring
  • Glitter
  • Lens solution (Renu fresh) 1 ⅛ tsp

Preparation

Collect all the necessary ingredients. If doing it with several children, it’s helpful to have small cups for measuring with a pre-marked line indicating the right amount. Playdough containers work well for this purpose. Consider putting some lens solution in a spray bottle to use on hands if they become a bit sticky during the activity.

Let’s Do It

  1. Measure Glue:
Measure out ¼ cup of glue in a measuring cup or container and then transfer it to the mixing container or bowl.

  2. Add Ingredients:
Add 1 tsp of water, ⅛ tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of lens solution, a drop or two of food coloring, and some glitter to the glue.

  3. Stir:
Use a spoon to stir the mixture until it forms a glob or blob. If it’s still very sticky, add a little more lens solution, but be cautious not to add too much, as it may become rubbery.

  4. Hands:
When it’s still slightly sticky, put some lens solution on your fingers and start kneading the mixture until it reaches a desirable consistency. If it doesn’t feel too sticky, pick it up and start playing.
